Like the original, the gun has a heavy metal construction, a double-sided safety lever, and a versatile SA/DA trigger mechanism with a tactile action.

TheWalther CP88 is one of the few windcheaters on the market that has the possibility of relatively simple disassembly. Such functionality is due to the possibility of replacing the barrel and replacing it with a longer version, suitable for mounting a compensator (the longer barrel and compensator are not included).

Automatic reloading

The air rifle is powered by a 12g_CO2 capsule, mounted in the handle. The compressed carbon dioxide gives the fired diabolo shots a velocity of up to 120 m/s and allows accurate shooting at a distance of about 20 m.

A good quality_CO2 cartridge allows you to fire about 60 aligned shots. The number of shots also depends on the air temperature, shooting dynamics and proper maintenance of the airgun. It is also important to remember that a_CO2 capsule (punctured) can be left in the windgun for a maximum of 48 hours.

After this time, the capsule must be removed or "fired". Installation and replacement of the capsule are very simple, requiring only the removal of the lining, placing the capsule in the handle and tightening it with the pressure screw.

Precision of shooting

Thanks to the use of a threaded barrel, the gun has been adapted to shoot classic 4.5mm diabolo shot, which makes the airgun great for precision target shooting. The shot is loaded into a rotating 8-shot magazine mounted in the breech.

SA/DA trigger mechanism

The air rifle uses the SA/DA (single action/ double action) trigger mechanism, which allows shooting with the cock pulled back (shortened path and less resistance) or with self cocking (full trigger path, more resistance).

The advantage of this solution is that it allows both precision and dynamic shooting. When carrying or storing, the trigger mechanism can be locked with a double-sided external fuse convenient for both right- and left-handed people.
