Gerber Center Drive black is an innovative multitool created for professional use, featuring thumb-extending pliers, a full-size blade, and an enlarged screwdriver arm whose central seating ensures efficient operation and maximum torque.
Gerber Center Drive is an exceptional tool, created by professionals-for professionals.
This state-of-the-art multitool combines reliability, durability and advanced technology into one professional tool, useful on construction sites, workshops and other activities that require solid uncompromising solutions.
Rugged design
Gerber Center Drive is a full-size multitool, whose construction is based on a steel frame. The tools and arms have a matte black finish, giving the multitool a military feel.
The manufacturer has opted out of using lightweight aluminum, making the tool durable and safely withstanding the heavy loads generated during undermining, tightening and cutting.
The stainless steel used is resistant to corrosion and weathering, so Gerber Center Drive can work in any conditions.
Combination pliers with X-Channel system
Comfort, speed and functionality. These are the words to describe the operation of the Gerber Center Drive model of combiners. It's all thanks to the X-Channel guide system, thanks to which the pliers work in a very smooth and light way.
Unlike classic multitools, the spring-loaded pliers of the Gerber Center Drive are hidden in the arms of the tool and do not interfere with the work.
Their ejection does not require unfolding the entire tool, you only need to move the corresponding slider with your thumb. Such functionality provides instant access to the tool and allows it to be operated with one hand, which is particularly important in the operations of rescuers, firefighters and soldiers.
Full-size blade
Themultitool uses a smooth blade that is 30% larger than popular models on the market, so Center Drive can successfully replace a classic folder.
The 82mm long drop point blade is made of hard 420HC stainless steel, which is easy to sharpen and resistant to corrosion. The blade is unfolded quickly and conveniently with one hand using a thumb cutout.
A liner lock, also used to secure the screwdriver, is responsible for safety during work. Guiding the blade and planing is facilitated by a polymer thumb ramp, which also acts as a hook for a rope or paracord braid.
A full-featured screwdriver
Gerber is particularly proud, of its proprietary screwdriver arm design. The handle has undergone enlargement and has been embedded along the tool's central axis.
Such functionality increases user comfort and provides maximum torque, identical to that of a classic screwdriver. The magnetic bit adapter is unfolded with the thumb without having to open the entire tool.
The 81mm-long arm also makes it easy to reach deeper-set or hard-to-reach screws, making the screwdriver a full-fledged tool. A liner lock, commonly used on edc knives, protects the screwdriver from folding.
Standard bit tips
Unlike multitools from other manufacturers, the Gerber Center Drive uses standard bits that are available at regular tool stores.
When a bit is lost or worn out, we can use another matching bit, which not only reduces the cost of operation, but also allows us to create our own personalized set.
