TheColt Python 2.5" 4.5mm BB CO2 is a pneumatic replica of the iconic .357 Magnum revolver, powered by aCO2 capsule and firing diabolo shot and BB's.
Rugged construction
The revolver has a solid construction made mostly of polymer. However, the key components, i.e. the inner barrel, trigger, cocking and sighting instruments are made of metal, which guarantees reliable and long-lasting use.
Thanks to the combination of these materials, the revolver has a weight of only 518 g, so the windcheater can be used comfortably by ladies and younger shooters.
The air rifleuses a 2.5-inch (63mm) barrel, which makes the revolver best suited for shorter range shooting.
The Colt Python 2.5" 4.5mm BB CO2 uses mechanical sighting instruments in the form of a fixed bowtie and a vertically and horizontally adjustable pinniped.
Rubberized liners with anatomical finger cutouts are responsible for the comfort of shooting and a solid grip of the revolver.
All mechanisms, i.e. the trigger, interchangeable barrel inserts, the cock and the safety, are perfectly fitted and characterized by high operating culture.
BB'S or diabolo shot?
The revolver has been adapted to shoot two types of shot gun pellets, i.e. classic 4.5mm diabolo and 4.46mm steel BB's.
Two magazines are included, one of them (metal) is designed for lead diabolo shot, the other (polymer) for steel balls.
Such functionality makes the airgun great for both precision and dynamic shooting. It is worth noting that each magazine holds as many as 10 shotgun shells, which ensures high rate of fire and comfort of play.
When shooting shotguns, the magazines are automatically rotated, identical to what happens in a real revolver.
CO2 power supply
The revolver is powered by compressed carbon dioxide supplied from a 12gCO2 capsule. The fired diabolo shot reaches a high initial velocity reaching about 100 m/s (BB's ~ 115 m/s), which allows accurate shooting at distances of up to 30 m.
Loading and replacing theCO2 capsule are very simple, simply push back the polymer grip liner, place the capsule in the port and tighten it with an allen wrench.
The mounting key is permanently attached to the cladding, so it is always with the windcheater, thus avoiding the mundane problem of forgetting the tool needed to replace the capsule.
One capsule allows you to fire about 60 shots with an even initial velocity. Keep in mind that the biggest influence on the number of shots is the air temperature and the dynamics with which we shoot.
SA/DA trigger mechanism
The revolver uses a classic SA/DA double-action trigger mechanism, which means that firing can be done from self-pressure or after the cock is pressed.
During transport or handling, the trigger mechanism can be locked with an adjustable fuse located in front of the cock.
