The knife uses an 89mm drop-point blade, which is a great compromise between functionality and everyday comfort. The 440C stainless steel used, with a 57-58 HRC hardening , is corrosion resistant, maintains an edge for a long time and sharpens easily and quickly. The smoothness and efficiency of cutting is ensured by the flat grind, ending with a strong tip for easy penetration and precise cutting. At the base, the ridge of the blade has been slightly raised and applied with transverse cutters that allow for stable finger support while working. The blade is finished with the stonewash technique (abrasive bath in grit), which leaves an irregular texture on the steel, effectively masking the scratches created during use of the knife.
The blade can be easily unfolded with one hand, thanks to a double-sided peg. Such a solution makes the blade instantly ready for use, and the knife can be used comfortably by both right- and left-handed people. When unfolded, the blade is locked by the axis-lock, a reliable mechanism with high mechanical resistance, which, like the peg, can be operated with the left or right hand.
In the design of the knife a large role is played by the handle, as on it depends the comfort and safety of use. The Ganzo Firebird G7392P-OR uses liners made of lightweight and durable G10 laminate. The rough transversal texture of the grip makes the knife sit securely and comfortably even in a wet or frozen hand. A steel clip with an option to switch to the other side and a cord hole emphasize the tool's everyday character.
