Skimen Adimanti is an everyday folder designed by Ukrainian serviceman and knife enthusiast Ruslan Skimen. The knife features red facings.
The Adimanti is a minimalist knife for everyday carry, featuring a ball-bearing D2 tool steel blade, a monolithic frame-lock, a high-set clip and a glass breaker. The element that makes the Skimen Adimanti stand out, even against more expensive models, is its superb mechanics, perfectly centered head and reliable finish, devoid of sharp edges.

The blade is made of tough and durable D2 tool steel hardened to 60 HRC. D2 is a carbon steel with superior corrosion resistance that cuts extremely aggressively, has excellent retention (ability to hold sharpness) and is highly resistant to wear and damage. D2 is a great alternative to expensive premium steels because it has great cutting properties, is hard and highly resistant to abrasion. Sharpening it requires a lot of work and a suitable sharpener (preferably diamond), but this is compensated by long edge retention and less frequent sharpening.
The 85mm long drop-point blade has a striking false blade. Satinizing on the blade was done at a slight angle, thus creating a discreet and eye-pleasing decoration. Thanks to the use of a strong hilt, a high flat grind and a cutting edge with a gently rounded line, the knife penetrates easily and cuts smoothly. On the back of the ridge, transverse cutters have been made, allowing a stable finger rest while working. When unfolded, the knife is 205 mm long, the thickness of the blade at its widest point is 3.5 mm, which is a compromise between carrying comfort, functionality and durability against damage.

Two ball bearings are installed on the axis of the head, thanks to which the blade opens smoothly and dynamically. The ball-bearing head, combined with the milled fin, makes the daily use of the knife a pure pleasure. The blade can be conveniently and quickly unfolded with one hand using a flipper, which is convenient for right- and left-handed people. A monolithic frame-lock with an additional hardened steel insert, which guarantees reliability and safety of operation, effectively protects the blade from accidental folding. The frame-lock is considered one of the most durable locking mechanisms, characterized by resistance to dirt and comfortable operation.
The handle of the knife is formed by facings of glazed stainless steel and black G-10 laminate. The glass-epoxy laminate used is characterized by light weight, high mechanical strength, resistance to water, temperature change, as well as to many acids and solvents. The profiled shape of the grip, the undercut for fingers and the fine texturing of the plastic make the knife fit tightly in the hand, without slipping and sliding during work. Discreet carrying of the knife in the pocket is made possible by a high-set clip (one-sided). The clip's fastening screw is finished with a tungsten carbide bolt, which we can use as a rescue glass breaker, beater or cubotan for self-defense. The spacer has been perfectly fitted between the facings, and there is a microcord tail clip at the end.
