The design of the air rifle is modeled on the German MP5 K-PDW submachine gun, which is used on a daily basis by special units of the police, border guards and government security personnel, among others.
Like the original, the body, butt and grip are made of durable polymer. However, the key components of the MP5 K-PDW pistol, i.e. the inner barrel, trigger mechanism,CO2 valve, safety and magazine, are metal. The pistol is distinguished by its compact and lightweight design, weighing just 1,635 grams. Therefore, it is an ideal choice for younger users, as well as those who do not prefer heavy weapons. In the MP5 air rifle, the flask can be conveniently folded to the side, and after removing two pins, it can also be completely disconnected without the need for additional tools.
When the flask is folded or removed, the length of the MP5 K-PDW air rifle is reduced by almost half. With this option the gun becomes functional. First of all, its mobility increases, and transportation ceases to be a nuisance. Thanks to the use of a metal clip, a single-point tactical belt can also be attached to the gun. Also borrowed from the original MP5 are the Picatinny top rail, the detachable flame suppressor and the bed with integrated vertical grip.
The MP5 pistol has mechanical sighting instruments in the form of a fixed bow tie and a sighted-in sights. The winged safety has been located in the same place as in the original. This allows convenient locking of the trigger mechanism without changing the grip.
High initial velocity
The MP5 air rifle is powered by a 12gCO2 capsule, which is mounted in the rear of the body (under the base of the butt). The compressed carbon dioxide gives the fired BB's a velocity of up to 145 m/s and allows accurate shooting at a distance of about 20 m.
A good quality CO2 cartridge allows you to fire about 80 aligned shots. The number of shots depends mainly on the air temperature, shooting dynamics and proper maintenance of the airgun. It should also be remembered that aCO2 capsule (punctured) can be left in the windgun for a maximum of 48 hours. After this time, the used capsule must be removed or "shot". Assembly and replacement of the capsule are quite simple and require no additional tools. After assembling the flask, it is enough to unscrew the capsule pressure screw and slide out the mounting pin. After these steps, we gain access to theCO2 capsule port.
"Blow back" recoil system
The feature that distinguishes the H&K Heckler&Koch MP5 K-PDW 4.5mm BBCO2 wind gun is the powerful blow-back system. Its operation causes the lock to vigorously retract after firing, mimicking the mechanics and recoil of a firearm. Such functionality increases the satisfaction of use and provides a lot of shooting excitement.
The MP5 K-PDW pistol shoots single-fire only. However, thanks to a magazine with a capacity of 41 rounds and an easy-to-learn trigger mechanism, the shooter can achieve a rapid rate of fire of up to 180 shots per minute after just a short training.
Steel BB's shot
The metal magazine holds 41 BB's 4.46mm shot, which is best suited for recreational shooting at reactive targets such as cans, bottles, etc. The magazine latch lever has been placed directly in front of the magazine, so the magazine change process is very convenient for both right- and left-handed users. The magazine feeder can be locked in the lower position, this allows the shotgun to be loaded by gravity directly from the container.
Unlike lead BB'S shot, even under pressure the BB's do not deform. Therefore, they can be safely loaded into magazines with such a high capacity.
DAO trigger mechanism
The H&K Heckler&Koch MP5 K-PDW 4.5mm BBCO2 air rifle uses a DAO (double action only) trigger mechanism, which allows shooting with self-trigger only. The advantage of this solution is primarily simple and instinctive operation.
